The Planning and Priorities
Coordination Department (PPCD) has announced the launch of a call for project
proposals financed by the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country
Nationals (IF). The Funds and Programmes Division (OPM) has been designated as
the Responsible Authority for the Four Funds financed by the General Programme
Solidarity and Management of Migration Flows 2007-2013.
This call for project proposals
financed under the Annual Programme 2011, will focus on the following Priority
Axes:
Priority Axis I - Put into
practice the Common Basic Principles for immigrant integration policy
established within the European Union.
The Focus Areas under Priority
Axis I are divided into two:
Action 3.1.1: Two introductory programmes on Maltese culture
and society.
Action 3.1.3: Workshops aimed at informing journalists,
information and policy officers on immigration and integration issues.
Priority Axis III Building
capacities within policy, coordination and building inter-cultural knowledge on
various levels and government departments.
Action 3.2.1: Promoting inter-cultural awareness and
developing inter-cultural communicating skills among front-liners.
Priority Axis IV Exchange of
experience, verified procedures and information in the field of integration
among member states.
Action 3.3.1: Pan-European Conference on Good practices
in integrating immigrants within society.
The Indicative Financial
Threshold covering the EC contribution for all projects submitted under this
call is of 269,370.14 Euro. Voluntary and International organisations are required
to contribute 25% of the eligible costs.
